Extractions

Extractions are a common procedure performed to address a variety of dental issues. Whether a tooth is severely decayed, damaged beyond repair, causing overcrowding or impacted, extraction may be necessary to alleviate discomfort and prevent further oral health complications. Prior to the procedure, local anaesthesia is administered to ensure patient comfort. The dentist then carefully loosens the tooth before gently removing it from the socket. Following an extraction, the dentist will provide post-operative instructions to promote proper healing and minimize the risk of infection.

While extractions may sound daunting, modern techniques and advances in anaesthesia have made the process much more comfortable for patients.
